Cheryl is a graduate student at the UCSB Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. She is working towards a Masters of Environmental Science & Management, specializing in Conservation Planning with a focus in Strategic Environmental Communications and Media. Before attending the Bren School, Cheryl received her B.S. in Marine Biology with a minor in Environmental Science & Policy from California State University, Long Beach. Cheryl's interests interests in marine science, conservation, and teaching as an instructor and curriculum writer at the Ocean Institute. She loved inspiring students, families, and the public to engage in science and appreciate and preserve these natural spaces and resources.
At Bren, Cheryl seeks to merge her interests in protecting land and sea by studying and developing conservation management solutions that can be applied to both marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Cheryl feels extremely fortunate to be part of a stellar GP team and looks forward to working on the project. |
